Our Story
My name is Cynthia, and I have a two-year-old, Tara.
When I was looking for a nutritious snack in the early days of pumping and nursing, I wanted to find something with no added sugar as I was coming off the gestational diabetes train.
It also had to be dairy free, because Tara was allergic to dairy. The search led me to this recipe.
Ingredients
It has 5 ingredients: Almonds, raisins, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and fennel. Fennel is known to help with the let-down of milk. The others make for a crunchy, nutritious, and filling snack.
Every breastfeeding journey is different and mine involved pumping for the first six weeks as Tara was a preemie. After that, we exclusively breast fed for the first year.
I hope the trail mix helps to keep you feel nourished as you focus on breastfeeding.
